Somebody's Sitting in MY Seat!

Zola came for a visit last Thursday, and we had a great time.  Basically, she ate her favorite foods...strawberries, "bears" (Teddy Grahams), a banana, an orange, juice, cheese, and a peanut butter sandwich...as well as some lettuce for lunch when I ate a salad, and some grapes.  She also declared after about an hour that "I need a baff!"  She insisted on having her hair shampooed (even though I knew her mother had given her a bath and washed her hair before I picked her up that morning!), and she wanted to wear pajamas all day!

Of course, I indulged her... she won't be almost three forever!  She's very good while we blow-dry all of those long curls.  They stretch nearly to her waist now, and her hair is very thick!

Zola is NOT afraid of Lucy and Mabel, our 15-year-old cats.  They hiss and spit, and she just laughs and smiles at them and talks to them in a soft cooing voice, and says, "Hi!  It's okay!"  Thursday, she managed to get close enough to both of them to actually pet them...and the first time, Lucy let her.

But later in the afternoon, she sat down in "Lucy's chair" in the office to watch videos, and you will have to watch what happened.  I really think it would have been just fine if Zola had not tried to pet Lucy. I'm pretty sure she did that once before with Timothy.  Lucy is one jealous kitty... and she is pretty protective of her "momma" and her territory!  And Zola is not the least bit fazed!  Also watch how every time a new verse of the first song starts, Zola bobs her head to the music... too funny!
