We had snow today - more than 3 inches! It was wet and fluffy and beautiful. I apologize for posting so many pictures, but every turn was prettier than the last. We walked down the road to Mossy Bluff Trail and took pictures at the bridge... beautiful waterfalls. The waterfall beside our house has gushed for two days now... spectacular! There are some shots of it, too. Greg and I each made a "snow creature" - guess which one was whose! My hands were shaking from cold, so the focus isn't as good as it should be, but you get the idea. I went back for more snowman shots about an hour later, and someone had already been at the Overlook and knocked them both over! I was really disappointed.
The most exciting sight was two red foxes playing in the snow behind our house this morning. Greg and I were on the phone with his mother, and I walked into the exercise room to look out the window, and there they were, playing and rolling in the snow and chasing each other. It happened so fast that we didn't get pictures, sadly, but they sure made a neat picture in the snow with their long red coats.
The sun came out this afternoon and much of the snow is already gone. They say we might get more on Thursday and Friday. Happy March! (Click on any photo to see it enlarged - some have been "color enhanced" - that's why they look a little different!)
